Welcome to Warbirds Over Wanaka 2022!  We expect to have a successful Airshow with many great aircraft and ground displays.

If you are coming from overseas we will liaise with you nearer the time regarding New Zealand border notices.

Good Friday, 15th April is practice day and open to the public.  At 4.30pm we will also have a free lakeside event at Pembroke Park, Lake Wanaka and invite you to attend.  Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th are Airshow days with the flying programme from 10am to 4pm.

All Trade stands will be open on the three days, do visit the large marquees on the flightline and the ground displays of Classic Cars, Warhorses, Sport Aircraft and of course indulge in some local food, craft beer and wine.

You will have access to a special viewing platform for accredited media at the Airshow as well as the Media hangar with power, wi-fi/broadband, more information on the Airshow and refreshments.  Please park your car in the Crossfire area (show your pass) opposite the main gate of the Airport.  Access is off Mt Barker Rd.

Our Media Manager and Team will be present to attend to the needs of all accredited media.  Once confirmed we will provide you with a digital pass to get you in via the main gate, please then exchange this for your personalised three day media pass at the Media Centre.

Please bring your own laptop if required, we will have at least one computer available for use.

A media briefing will be held on Friday and Saturday mornings in the Media Centre.  All media releases pertaining to the Airshow may be viewed on our News Page.  We encourage you to register for our newsletters on our website home page leading up to the Airshow, past newsletters may also be viewed at this link.

Please note Monday 18th April is Rides Day and this will provide you with an opportunity to pay for a ride in different types of aircraft.   See this list.
