Aston Martin Vulcan at WOW
Warbirds Over Wanaka organisers have announced a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for one lucky visitor at next Easter’s 30th Anniversary Airshow at Wanaka Airport.
Warbirds has joined up with the team at Highlands Motorsport Park to offer visitors the chance of a ride in the $NZ4.2 million Aston Martin Vulcan Supercar along the runway on the Sunday of the Airshow. The car was bought last year by Highlands owner Tony Quinn who will drive it at Warbirds.
This is a rare chance to experience the power and luxury of this limited edition vehicle. Only 24 of the track-only supercars have been built.
The 7-litre V12 all-carbon fibre Vulcan has a top speed of 320kpm and can get from 0-100kpm in just three seconds. It features carbon ceramic disc brakes, a six-speed sequential gearbox, variable traction control and full-adjustable suspension.
For those who miss out on winning the ride they will still have plenty of opportunity to check out the car which will be on display before and after the hot lap of the runway on the Sunday of the Airshow.
Meanwhile, as part of an on-going relationship with Warbirds Over Wanaka, Highlands Motorsport Park is offering free museum entry to people who show their Warbirds ticket when they visit the Cromwell attraction next Easter Weekend.
